Wayne Quamina BSc.

Wayne Quamina is an ambitious and friendly physiotherapist fully registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and Health and Care Professional Council ( HCPC).

He graduated from St George’s University of London with a BSc (Hons) in physiotherapy in 2007. He has extensive experience working as a senior Musculoskeletal therapist in the public sector and also working in Football, Rugby and Thai-boxing with clubs such as Millwall FC and Twickenham RFC.

Wayne has a very strong background in sports having been a professional Kickboxer for over 12 years and participating in the sport for over 20 years. His sporting career has seen him win Southern Area title (WKMA), two British titles and a European title; he also fought for a world title in 2006 before he then retired from the sport to concentrate on physiotherapy.
Wayne sees great value in conducting a thorough analysis of his clients and feels that it is important for the client to fully understand their diagnosis in order to self-manage symptoms, as it is felt that this leads to better longer term outcomes.
Wayne has a special interest in anterior knee pain (Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome) and is currently conducting research in this field at Queen Mary University of London as part of his Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine (you can read more about Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome in the education section).
Wayne is continually reviewing the latest evidence to ensure that his practice in continuously evolving to meet best practice guidelines.
